Job Title: Accounts Payable College Co-op
Key Elements & Responsibilities: AAM is a world leader in the manufacture, engineering, validation and design of driveline systems, chassis systems and forged products for trucks, buses, sport utility vehicles and passenger cars.

Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented individual to fill the role of Accounts Payable College Co-op at our World Headquarters located in Detroit, MI.

Financial Services
1.Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of various tasks within the Accounts Payable department.
2.Assist with month-end close process, journal entries, cash balancing, intercompany reconciliations
3.Assist with account, or customer/supplier reconciliations
4.Will use Oracle to input data and/or process transactions.
5.May interact with customers or suppliers to respond to invoicing or payment inquiries.
6.Will work with customer or supplier account agings and statements.
7.Assist with Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
8.Assist with various analyses and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting or finance.
Transactional accounting experience preferred, such as the following:
ERP experience Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable modules
Invoicing and/or collections activity
General ledger account reconciliations
Above average PC skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, Word).
Strong analytical skills required.
Self-motivated, resourceful and detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
Effective professional written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with teams.
Available to work 35-40 hours per week.
