Minimum five years related experience including three years management experience required. Master's degree preferred. Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is required. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions are required. Must have the ability to work independently while developing a functioning team among subordinates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training, presentation, and negotiating skills is required. Job Description: Manage the recruitment operation for allogeneic and specialized donors to ensure achievement of annual collection goals in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible in assigned territory, zone or district. Implement strategic direction for recruitment efforts, implement local operating procedures and policies, assist in Board and Committee planning, serve as liaison with participating chapter executive staff and Board volunteers and ensures training in and compliance with all regulatory requirements. 1. Support established strategic direction for recruitment efforts of assigned team to ensure achievement of ARCBS collection and volunteer support and operational objectives. 2. Working with department and regional leadership, plan overall recruitment methodology for assigned territory/team to assure effective donor group and volunteer development and chapter support with input from recruitment staff, participating chapters, and Board and Committee members. 3. Ensure the timely implementation of national directives and adherence to local operating procedures, including appropriate staff training, to comply with national, federal or other regulatory requirements. 4. Ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of recruitment programs designed to meet particular needs (e.g., blood type distribution, holidays, etc.) to ensure the availability of specialized products when and where they are needed. 5. Develop and oversee adherence to annual recruitment budget to ensure sufficiency and efficient utilization of financial resources to achieve stated collection goals. 6. Monitor, evaluate and correct donor flow and customer service problems in collaboration with Collection Management to improve donor satisfaction and contribute to achievement of organization goals. 7. Develop and supervise assigned staff in accordance with human resources policies, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and hiring and firing decisions, to enhance success of operations and minimize turnover. 8. May assist in writing, organizing and maintaining various sections of a departmental procedure manual. 9. Perform other related duties as necessary.
