Position Summary:

Unique opportunity to combine IT and Cost Accounting to assist the Healthcare decision support group at Plante & Moran for a 6 month, part-time internship.

The healthcare intern will work with hospital clients on the implementation and integration of a cost accounting and budgeting tool offered and supported by Plante & Moran. The healthcare intern will ensure accurate data collection and configuration, ensure monthly data is obtained and loaded properly, and assist clients with ongoing support requests.

Position Accountabilities

* Accurately load client budgeting, costing, and product line data
* Perform monthly reconciliations of client data and work with clients and/or consultants to resolve issues
* Effectively assist clients with basic support needs
* Data collection and analysis
* Project planning and management of critical deliverables
* Effectively executes individual project tasks, with some focus on overall project objectives
* Availability to work a part-time, flexible schedule of 20 hours per week

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Education

* Pursuing a Bachelor of Science/Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
* Completed the first two entry-level accounting courses and at a minimum, currently enrolled in the first intermediate level accounting course
* Maintains strong academic success with a minimum GPA of 3.0
* Position eligible for academic accreditation
