We are currently seeking a motivated, self-starter for the position of Human Resources Administrative Assistant for our Corporate Office in Wayne, MI.This position will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

Job Duties:

* Comply with all EQ Management System policies and procedures.
* Provide support to the Human Resources Director, Manager and support staff.
* When needed, assist with payroll, including
* When needed, write up, input, balance payroll and resolve problem issues in regard to employees.
* Track commissions on applicable spreadsheet
* Assist Payroll Specialist with distribution of checks and check attachments.
* Ability to work independently in the absence of the Payroll Specialist.
* Track/Monitor spreadsheets in regard to the reimbursement of boots, health club, safety eye glasses, and EQ Wear by employees. As needed, enter deductions for those purchases and communicate with employees in regard to these matters.
* Prepare referral letters and monitor the appropriate spreadsheet through the year.
* Track third-party sick pay via a spreadsheet.
* Track, enter and monitor each employee's vacation/sick time each week.
* Prepare anniversary memos for all applicable employees.
* Track and monitor changes to 401k contributions. Communicate with the employees regarding the changes and after confirmation from the employees, make the changes in the payroll system. In regard to new enrollees, communicate with employees about when/how they can enroll and send out Beneficiary Designation forms as needed and track receipt of Beneficiary Designation forms

* Analyze and audit data for the entire Human Resources team. Prepare spreadsheets or reports as needed to summarize findings. Data will include payroll, benefits, etc.
* Prepare mail merge communications with employees throughout the year.
* Track and monitor tuition reimbursements for employees. Communicate with employees requesting reimbursement. Keep the Human Resources Manager informed of the status of each employee involved. Maintain a tuition reimbursement spreadsheet for tracking purposes.
* Complete government reporting documents. This may include reporting the number of employees at a certain site, job descriptions, and generalized salaries.
* Provide assistance to the Human Resources staff with benefit open enrollment, including, but not limited to preparation of documents, distribution of benefit enrollment paperwork to sites, and tracking/monitoring spreadsheets in regard to benefits.
* Provide backup coverage for the front desk receptionist when needed.
* Administrative tasks as assigned.
* Manage office file systems.
* Manage office supplies.

Position Requirements
* High school or GED equivalent.
* Minimum of three (3) years Administrative Assistant experience. Human Resources administrative experience highly preferred.
* Capable of working independently to complete tasks assigned by the manager.
* Position will be working with confidential information and must be sensitive to this fact. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and follow protocol related to sensitive information.
* Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet tight deadline is a must.
* Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent communication and follow up skills.
* Provide a high level of confidentiality.
* Ability to work within a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
* Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher.
* Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and have excellent prioritizing skills.
