Job Title: Human Resources College Coop
Key Elements & Responsibilities: American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. is a world leader in the manufacture, engineering, validation and design of driveline systems, chassis systems and forged products for trucks, buses, sport utility vehicles and passenger cars.

Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented student to fill the role of an Human Resources Co-op.

The position responsibilities include the following:

-Assist with general administrative, clerical, analytical, and data input tasks for the Corporate HR Department.
-Assist with posting open positions on websites, sorting and screening resumes, scheduling. interviews, data entry into our database, and applicant tracking.
-Assist with the preparation of the Performance Review process including preparation of documents and setting up reports.
-Conduct PeopleSoft audits.
-Assist with PeopleSoft data entry.
-Assist with other HR system initiatives.
-Coordinate employment offers and prehire process.
-Conduct new hire orientation sessions as required.
-Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Willing to take on new projects on an as needed basis.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook.
-Peoplesoft experience is preferred.
-Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
-Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
-Ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasks.
-Strong oral/written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment, focus on customer satisfaction, and exhibit continuous learning behaviors.
-Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
-Students must be currently attending undergraduate or graduate studies in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Psychology or related studies.
-Must posses career interest in employment, staffing, recruiting, and general human resource administrative practices.
-Available at least 20-30 hours per week
-Must be available for 2 full semesters.
