Summit Polymers, is an automotive supplier of plastic injection molded interior trim, specializing in the engineering, manufacture and assembly of feature based A/C registers and trim panels. Summit has a great opportunity for an entry level Engineer to join our process team at one of our manufacturing plants. This position requires someone who can seek out resources and be part of solutions.
Successful candidate will have a BSME (or other 4 year engineering degree) with some hands-on manufacturing experience. Great opportunity for a recent graduate to be an integral part of a successful automotive manufacturing team. Prior plant floor, injection molding and automotive supplier experience are a big plus. The position will participate with other more experienced Manufacturing Engineers to determine secondary tooling requirements and will gain knowledge of such manufacturing automation processes as pick and place, robotics, end of arm tooling, fixtures, vision and automation of cells. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and will participate in practical problem solving in order to improve processes and cut costs through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Candidates must have competent computer and organizational skills.
