Responsibilities:

Assists the nurse and/or the physician with the medical needs of patients. Responsible for telephone triage, obtaining information from patients for the medical record, preparing patient for exams and assisting physician with exam, performing diagnostic procedures and treatments following policies and procedures and cleaning and sterilizing instruments and supplies adhering to OSHA standards. Will also administer specific medications as approved by physicians and perform in office tests as well as educate patients.

Requirements:

Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent combination of training and/or experience required. Must have strong communication skills, excellent phone etiquette and an ability to relate in a caring manner to all patients.

Note: This is a temporary position to help with the abstraction of the Electronic Health Record.
