ARCADIS is seeking an individual with 10+ years of energy industry experience, including facility engineering, energy management, and project implementation within both the industrial and commercial building sectors. The candidate must possess a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers and have advanced knowledge of energy using systems (HVAC, lighting, pumping, boilers, motors, thermal oxidizers and other process energy intensive systems) used in industrial and commercial applications.
The individual will work directly with the Vice President of Energy Management Services and is primarily responsible for supporting development and implementation of the ARCADIS Energy Management Services program. The candidate will visit customer sites to identify and evaluate energy saving opportunities, determine customer's technical and production requirements, present incentives and services, and provide recommendation to improve performance in system equipment, industrial processes, and operations.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
* Prepare scope of work, cost estimates and engineering economic analysis studies for proposed energy projects
* Survey customer sites to identify energy and operational cost reduction opportunities
* Gather energy consumption, system efficiency, operational performance data
* Analyze technical field data to identify and quantify energy and operational savings potential
* Compare facility performance to industry-specific baselines
* Work with other field engineers, contract specialists and account executives
* Remain current with energy engineering and green building technologies, standards and practices
* Support the development of standardized processes and continuous improvement practices.
* Support the creation and development of energy awareness and employee engagement initiatives, including the development of energy related marketing content.
* Develop creative outreach initiatives to educate and engage stakeholders in energy efficiency.
Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: 10
* Education required: BS in Electrical Engineering is required
* Registrations/Certifications required: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is required
* Skills required: Must have operational experience in energy efficiency and energy audits; Must be experienced in working in manufacturing environments and familiar with lean manufacturing principles; Experienced in the design and operation of electrical systems, including lighting, motors, controls, power distribution, power quality, and energy metering systems; Experience with Energy Star and DOE software & tools; Experienced in the use of test instruments, such as data loggers; Familiarity with standard energy efficiency cost-effectiveness analysis techniques; Strong interpersonal skills; Must have excellent written and verbal technical communication skills; Skilled in working with teams from remote office locations; Experienced in use and operation of MS Office suite of tools, including Word, Excel, and Access or similar database and project management programs; Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Education preferred: MSEE or MBA is a plus
* Registrations/Certifications preferred: Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and/or USGBC LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) is a plus
* Years experience preferred: 15
* Skills preferred: The ideal candidate will have 15 plus years of experience in energy management/engineering; strong HVAC background; experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, commissioning, and building/system optimization is desired; Experience in the marketing & communications field a plus; Experience in the supervision and/or management of work teams a plus
* This position does requires travel. Travel amount isup to 50%.
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
