About the Business Line Environment Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources. Job Description Position Status: Temporary assignment 3 to 6 months - Marshall, MI field office. Bachelors Degree in the area of Geographic Information Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Geography (concentration or minor in Environmental Science) or closely related field with course work including GIS for spatial analysis and mapping applications. Successful candidate must possess knowledge and have hands-on experience with GIS that includes ESRI ArcMap Software Suite for map production and spatial analysis. Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form. Experience with CAD, relational databases, or Visual Basic a plus. Duties & Responsibilities: Management of spatial and aspatial information in accordance with industry standards Ensuring that information management quality assurance procedures are followed to ensure compliance with AECOM standards and procedures Production of hardcopy maps and figures to appropriate standards using AECOM templates Production of spatial and aspatial data ensuring accuracy and logical consistency in processing and output Maintain knowledge of GIS industry practices and software developments Training new GIS users and supporting non-technical GIS users within project teams Experience & Qualifications: 0-5 Years related technical expereince or relevant technical college qualification Experience in GIS and excellent understanding of ESRI GIS software Experience in other software application including but not limited to: CAD, Adobe CS, MS Access and database design Experience with enterprise GIS software SDE, ArcGIS servicer Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify innovative solutions to problems Ability to organise and prioritise oneself What We Offer AECOM employees around the world enjoy a wide range of benefits and competitive compensation package.
