Description:

Tractor-Trailer truck driver, union hourly position. Driving APL tractor/trailer to transport customer s products, normally within a 100 mile radius of Coloma, MI. Position can be any shift or day of the week and requires a current CDL Class A driver s license, 18 months of verifiable experience in the last 3 years, no more than 2 moving violations within the last 12 months and excellent communication skills.

Accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities

Driving truck to move product to and from customers' locations to APL warehouse.

*
Safety inspections

*
Completion of logs and assigned paperwork.

*
Safety meetings

*
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education

High School Diploma - Valid Class A CDL license issued in state of current residence - minimum age 24. Must meet all qualifications of part 382, 383, and 391 of the Federal Motor Charrier Safety Regulations.

Experiences

18 months recent (within the past 3 years) verifiable experience in Tractor - Trailer with no more than 2 moving violations within the past 12 months.

Skill Sets

Ability to complete paperwork properly, to maintain legal and legible DOT daily logs and work as a team with customers, co-workers and management.

Language Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills required for communicating with co-workers/customers regarding shipments and receipts.
