Before we bring solutions to mankind, we need to explore and understand the Market – its needs and its opportunities.   Marketing is about understanding marketplace dynamics, identifying trends when they don't yet exist and leading teams to capture value in a competitive environment. Further, we need to effectively communicate and connect with our customers to serve their needs.

The Dow Marketing Development Program (MDP) Summer Internship (SI) places you in the middle of marketing strategy, product planning, field communications, innovation and marketing research analytics.  This 12-Week Program is targeted to individuals who are interested in developing a marketing career within a large, global organization but also enjoy working in a small-team environment.

As we enter a new age of marketing, you are expected to have a strong appreciation of Marketing fundamentals and disciplines with the enthusiasm to apply what you have learned in the day to day. Relationship development is critical and this SI will have cross-functional exposure working with colleagues in HR, Sales, Finance, R&D, Technical Service, Sustainability and many others.  Having the mindset of an entrepreneur is welcome.  Being a self-starter is required.

This SI is a standalone opportunity but also a welcome precursor to the full-time MDP for 2018-2019. The objective of the SI program is to allow you to see firsthand the exciting company of Dow, its inclusive culture and chart your career path in the commercial organization.  Our goal is to develop a powerful employment pipeline of future marketing leaders with an appreciation for integrating their academic and professional experiences.
